PURPOSE:To maintain earth in a wetted state by water vapor contained in a heat-transmitting medium passed through a pipe or the like and enhance heat- exchanging efficiency without contaminating earth, by a method wherein a part of a pipe or the like buried underground for exchanging heat is formed from a moisture-permeable water-proof material. CONSTITUTION:Hot water contained in a tank 1 is circulated through an underground pipe 3 by a pump 2, and is returned to the tank 1 after exchaning heat in earth. A part of the wall of the pipe 3 is substituted by a moisture-permeable water-proof material 4 which is not perfectly water-impermeable, that is, it permits molecular water (water vapor) to pass therethrough, although it prevents aggreates of a plurality of water molecules (water) from passing therethrough. Accordingly, the water vapor contained in the heat-transmitting medium being circulated permeates through the pipe part formed of the moisture-permeable water-proof material 4 to maintain earth in a wetted state, so that heat is favorably transmitted without contaminating earth. |
