PURPOSE:To aim at unmanning for the step of switching the cores of web, by providing a mechanism for applying a piece of a bi-surface bonding tape to the surface of the web, a tape cutter, etc. CONSTITUTION:Along a web transferring path P there are provided a bi-surface bonding tape applying mechanism 4 for applying a bi-surface bonding tape piece 43 to the surface of a web W in the area where the bi-surface bonding tape piece 43 is applied, a cutting mechanism 5 for cutting the web W at the leading edge of the area in which the bi-surface bonding tape piece 43 is applied, and a holding and guiding mechanism 6 for holding and guiding the leading end of the following web cut by the cutting mechanism 5 with the use of a holding member so that the bi-surface bonding tape piece 43 on the web W is bonded to the surface of a new winding core 13. With this arrangement, the step of switching cores is aimed at being automated for enhancing the reliability of the working. |
