PURPOSE:To restrain the formation of scale, by covering the whole inside and outside surfaces of a steel plate moving from a finish rolling mill to a zone- cooling device by a laminar water-flow jetted from slit-shaped laminar nozzles provided throughout the whole range between the mill and device. CONSTITUTION:Throughout the whole range between a finish rolling mill 2 and a zone cooling device 5, upper and lower laminar nozzle devices 6 and 7 are respectively provided to the upper and lower parts from a hot runner table 4. The laminar nozzle devices 6 and 7 consist of headers 81 and 82 arranged parallelly and horizontally in the direction of the plate width and slit-shaped laminar nozzles 91 and 92 attached downward and upward, respectively. Water transferred by the pressure of a pump is jetted from the laminar nozzles 91 and 92 and is formed into a laminar water flow 13 to cover the whole inside and outside surfaces of the plate 1. |
