METHOD FOR REPLACING CONTROLLER OF DATA COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE:To perform replacement of a controller with no consciousness of other nodes or a node to be controlled, by activating controllers of the same function within other nodes with designation of a node address where the controller exists and accordingly changing routing tables of upper layers. CONSTITUTION:An inactivation indicating command is issued to a control node 10 of an upper layer so as to stop the operation of a controller 25. An activation indication request command is issued to a control node 12 of a lower layer in order to give an activation instruction for a replacement controller 25 of a node 11. Receiving an activation instruction request command, the node 12 gives an activation command to the node 11 for activation of the controller 25. A routing table 20 is switched for the routing function of an upper layer of the node 12.
