PURPOSE:To provide a mixed coolant capable of increasing freezing capacity without significantly changing motor output required for refrigirator by incorporating propane into chlorodifluoromethane. CONSTITUTION:To chlorodifluoromethane, propane is added in a mixed ratio of 2-20wt%, or preferably 2-15wt%. The mixed gas, including propane, will become inflammable depending on the content of propane. The propane, however, if limited to less than 8.3wt%, causes the mixed gas to become non-inflammable, and therefore is safe. The High Pressure Gas Regulation defines the combustible gas as a gas which is burnt in concentration of 10wt% or less in air. In view of this, about 13wt% propane concentration provides a mixture gas which is not the combustible gas as defined above and which contains the maximum possible amount of propane. |
