<p>PURPOSE:To open a door without causing the generation of a flaw or the like in a device for automatically opening a side door of an automobile in its production line, by engaging a pawl to an engagement position in the bottom part inside the door and displacing this pawl in the opening direction of the door. CONSTITUTION:In a painting line of an automobile, if the automobile comes to a fixed position A1 under a condition holding a side door 22 to the half opened dimensions, firstly a pawl 54 of a door opening device A is turned upward by a rotary actuator (not shown in the drawing) to enter between the door 22 and an automobile body 23. Simultaneously with the above, a turning arm 47 is turned about 45 deg. counter clockwise by operation of a cylinder 48, and this causes the door 22 to slightly open. While simultaneously with this turning action, a truck 33 is moved by the cylinder from a positionIto IV, and turning force of the arm 47 is weakened in the vicinity of the position IV to open the dorr 22 without a shock. The body 23 is further moved, if the door 22 is separated from the pawl 54, the truck 33 is reset toward the original positionI.</p> |
