PURPOSE:To prevent the gear chattering and body shock from generating by a method wherein a dragging resistance is given to a counter system by utilizing a forward synchromesh unit at reverse shift. CONSTITUTION:The hub sleeve 8 of the forward synchromesh unit 6 is shifted leftward in vain with the reverse shift operation. An arm 1 is also shifted leftward with the shift of the hub sleeve 8 so as to shift a pin 17 assembled in the holder part 25 of the arm 14 along the cam surface 23 of an idler reverse shaft 21. In the midway of said shift stroke, the pin 17 runs on to the nose of cam surface, resulting in rotating the arm 14 against a spring 20 temporarily. As a result, the friction part 16 of the arm 14 is strongly pushed against the bottom surface of the fork engagement groove 8a of the hub sleeve 8. Consequently, the inertial revolution of a countershaft 4 is lowered. |
