PURPOSE:To contrive to simplify construction and to reduce size, by a method wherein a clutch provided for selectively operating a V-belt type stepless speed change gear and an intermeshing-type transmission gear is used also as a starting clutch. CONSTITUTION:For selectively operating the V-belt type stepless speed change gear Ta and the intermeshing-type transmission gear Tb, a normally engaged type first clutch C1 which operates the speed change gear Ta when being engaged is provided on an input shaft 2, while a normally disengaged type second clutch C2 which operates the transmission gear Tb when being engaged is provided on an output shaft 3, the first clutch C1 is operated alone by the first operating device, and the first and second clutches C1, C2 are interlockedly and alternately operated by the second operating device. Accordingly, starting by the speed change gear Ta can be effected by operating the first clutch C1 as a usual starting clutch by the function of the first operating device. |
