PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for setting keys and to make the resetting to an ordinary mode easy and sure, by starting a time counter from the set time at the same instant when the time setting is changed from time setting mode to the ordinary mode. CONSTITUTION:The control corresponding to the programs of an ROM2 is accomplished by an instruction decoder 3, an arithmetic circuit 10, etc. of an LSI body 1 of a timepiece and the contents of the mode holding register of an RAM6 and the previous mode holding register are compared. When the previous mode is a time correction mode and the mode of this time is an ordinary mode, the correction time by a counter responding to a key part 16, etc. written in the RAM6 is read out and the time of the counter starting from the time for the time setting is displayed on a liquid crystal display 15 with a decoder 9, etc. Thus the setting key for changing the display to the set time is eliminated and the resetting from the time setting mode to the ordinary mode is accomplished easily and surely. |
