PURPOSE:To prevent seizure from occurring between a valve disk and a valve holder and secure operation, by a method wherein a columnar body having a rhomic cross-sectional shape and brought into contact with both a valve disk and a valve holder in the manner of a knife edge is inserted between the valve disk and the valve holder. CONSTITUTION:Opposite surfaces of the valve disk 2 and the valve holder 3 are provided respectively with recessed grooves 9, 10 each of which is rectangular in cross section, and an angular columnar body 11 rhombic in cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal axis thereof is inserted between the valve disk 2 and the valve holder 3. When the valve holder 3 is moved in the radial direction of the valve disk 2 by operating a cylinder 5, the disk 2 is pressed against a valve seat 1 by the function of the columnar body 11. Accordingly, seizure and friction are prevented from occurring between the valve disk 2 and the valve holder 3, so that the valve is operated securely. |
