The appts. comprises a filter assembly for treatment of beta-phenyl-ethanol adduct with inert organic solvent at 100-150 deg. C and atmos. pressure under inert gas, for recycling and reaction with metal halide in the presence of a solvent under the same conditions as before. To increase performance the efficiency of the treatment is checked under unchanged conditions, in the presence of an organic solvent. - The filter plate, near the bottom of the vessel, is based on sintered metal and has an agitator above it.
