PURPOSE:To increase the speed of issuance of labels without deteriorating the quality of printing, by making the speed of paper feeding after the completion of priting higher than that at the time of printing in a thermal label printer which has a paper feeding mechanism using a pulse motor. CONSTITUTION:An input from a display key 1 or data from a weighing member 2 are processed by a program memory 4 of CPU1 3, and data required for printing, paper feeding, etc. are transferred to CPU2 5. Printing data are processed by a character generator 6, a printing buffer 7 is set thereby, and a print line counter is set. Paper feeding data is stored in a memory 9 for paper feeding, and at this time, a pulse motor drive 12 is switched for printing. Then the printing is performed, and when the print line counter counts down sequentially by one to zero, the pulse motor drive 12 is switched for high speed. Thereby a label is fed at high speed during a period wherein a subsequent label 11 is fed in a prescribed quantity after it is detected by a label detector 17. |
