The invention relates to a heating device for liquids, in particular liquid fuel, with a pair of plate-shaped bodies (11) which are held at a distance from one another by a sealing plate (12) lying between them. Each plate-shaped body has a flow duct part for the liquid to be heated, one end of each flow duct part opening into one of two openings arranged coaxially in the plate-shaped bodies. There extends through the two openings a bolt (16) which forms an inlet and an outlet flow duct. The other ends of the flow duct parts of the plate-shaped bodies are interconnected so that the two flow duct parts are connected in series one behind the other. There is assigned to each plate-shaped body (11) a plate (20) which bears on the side facing the body (11) a flat heating element (21). An insulating film (19) lies between the heating element (21) and the surface (18) of the plate-shaped body (11) which faces it. Each plate (20) with heating element (21) bears with the side facing away from the heating element against a fastening plate (24) which is fastened to the respective plate-shaped body (11). If electric current is sent through the heating elements (21), the plate-shaped bodies (11) are heated and the liquid situated in their flow duct (13) is heated. By controlling the current flow in the heating elements (21), the temperature of the plate-shaped bodies is controlled. <IMAGE>
