An antifreeze pump for pressure medium systems, particularly for compressed air systems in motor vehicles, is described, in which a bypass is provided in the pump housing between the compression chamber and the antifreeze feedline for manual shut-off of the antifreeze addition to the compressed air in summer operation, which bypass can be alternatively opened or closed by a shut-off valve. With the shut-off valve closed antifreeze is added to the compressed air flowing through the antifreeze pump as normal, whereas when the shut-off valve is opened the antifreeze flows back into the antifreeze feedline without being compressed.
