The actuator is for a fire-stop door shutting automatically by sliding parallel to a wall to cut off a passage in the latter and equipped with a swing door, spring-loaded shut. For each leaf (A,B) of the swing door, the fire-stop door (5) has an actuator (12,8a) working, on sliding towards the central area of the swing door, with a retainer (14,17) holding the respective leaf of the latter in the open position. The retainer is spring-loaded (20,21) into its engaged position, and moved in opposition to this spring.
