Photochromic material and a process for its production

Photochromic material, produced by casting a liquid mixture of a curable film-forming resin, a curing agent for this resin, and photocromic glass particles of size 0.05-1.00 mu m onto a surface of wood, plastic or metal, and curing the mixture, where this contains a quantity of photochromic glass particles such that the content of glass particles in the cast layer amounts to 10-40 % by weight.
