The invention relates to a housing for power connecting relays in telephone systems comprising a baseplate, a printed circuit board inserted therein, a protective cap and a cover panel with an inserted central panel or with a covering cap. This housing is to be reduced to such an extent that the connecting relay can be inserted in an empty housing to DIN 49073, thus allowing flush-mounted installation. Despite the reduction in the external dimensions, the creepage paths and clearances between the soldering eyelets of the power circuit and those of the telecommunications circuit on the printed circuit board are to be large enough to guarantee the values required by VDE regulations for increased test voltage. This object is achieved according to the invention by providing the protective cap with an intermediate wall which engages in a slot of the printed circuit board located between the power circuit and the telecommunications circuit.
