For treatment of different foot disorders the footbath tub (1) has one or more ultrasound-generating heads (4a) which are firmly or detachably mounted on the tub sounding board (2) and/or the side walls (3). They radiate ultrasound into the bath water and onto the treated feet at a frequency of 800 KHz and a sound pressure of 0.2 watt/cm<2>. This ultrasound penetrates deeply into the tissue and combats disorders of the muscles, joints, ligaments and skin of the feet in connection with an air bubble system which may be built in, coarse vibration (20-30 Hz) and introduction of ozone. <IMAGE>
