The invention starts from a hydropneumatic accumulator with a housing whose inner space is subdivided by two dividing bodies into three chambers, in which accumulator the inner chamber lying between the dividing bodies has a constant volume and is filled with fluid and in which the two outer chambers can be varied in their volume, in which arrangement one outer chamber can be filled with gas and the other outer chamber can be loaded with hydraulic oil. In the known accumulator, one of the dividing bodies is designed as metal folding bellows which are intended to prevent an exchange of gas. In contrast, the present invention proposes that, to avoid an exchange of gas, one of the dividing bodies (10, 15) be designed as a piston (15) guided in a sealed manner in a housing bore. This results in an accumulator which is simple to produce and is safe in operation. <IMAGE>
