Mixing chamber for room ventilation systems

The mixing chamber of a room ventilation system is provided with an inlet (3, 4) for each of two part flows (5, 6) and an outlet (7) for a main flow (8). The flow directions of the part flows (5, 6) on entry into the mixing chamber run at an angle of approximately 90 DEG to one another, while the main flow (8) follows the direction of one of the part flows (6). Provided in the mixing chamber are at least two guide surfaces (10) which project into the meeting zone of the two part flows (5, 6) and cover at least the width of the inlets. The guide surfaces (10) are arranged symmetrically in relation to the direction of the main flow (8). They are curved in such a manner that the corners of two adjacent guide surfaces (10) point away from one another. One of the edges of each guide surface points in the direction of the incoming part flow (5) running perpendicularly to the main flow (8). <IMAGE>
