摘要 Automatic, friction-free differential lock acting equally on the rear wheels in both directions of travel, which only comes into operation when, in the event of slip, one wheel turns more slowly than is the case with the smallest turning circle and the optimum ground adhesion. The lock directly connected to the transmission, designed without reverse gear but otherwise conventional, comprises the extended transmission output shaft (1, Fig. 2), which by way of a fixed gear (11) drives the overlying, slower limiting shaft (2) carrying two free wheels (24 and 25, Fig. 1) and gears (22 and 23) coupled to this in a ratio determined by the track width of the drive wheels and smallest turning circle, and by way of a fixed gear designed as sun wheel the differential outer gears (12 and 13 Fig. 2) by way of their bevel toothing, which in turn are connected by way of their spur gearing to the above-mentioned free wheels (24 and 25), so that none of these four last-mentioned wheels can fall below the minimum speed. On either side of the projecting shafts lies a cardan shaft (3 and 4, Fig. 1 and 2) for driving its rear wheel by way of pinion (33, Fig.1) and ring gear (34), from which cardan shafts gear wheels, located on both sides of a sliding sleeve controllable from the driver's seat, for forwards (32 and 41, Fig. 1 and 2) and reverse (31 and 42, Fig. 1 and 2) travel are driven, one each by gears of the transmission output shaft (1, Fig. 2), the other of the limiting shaft (2, Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
