The housing for a jointed-arm awning, to the square supporting tube of which housing is fixed a roof holder, comprises a roof, a floor and a rear wall which is substantially U-shaped in cross-section. The roof and the floor, to the rear edges of which the rear wall is firmly locked, are carried by the roof holder which has at the foot two mutually perpendicular legs bearing on the rear side and upper side of the supporting tube and firmly clamped thereon by catch lugs and has at the head ends which diverge in a V-shape and engage into corresponding catch notches of the roof with catch projections. Bearing on the front side of the supporting tube is a floor support having an S-shaped web which engages under said tube with a lug and is anchored with a hook to the front end of the horizontal leg of the roof holder projecting above the upper side of the supporting tube. The floor support furthermore has a tab which extends parallel to the front side of the supporting tube and downwards at a distance from the S-shaped web of its hook and has a catch projection on the free end which, together with a catch projection on the vertical leg of the roof holder projecting downwards beyond the rear side of the supporting tube, is engaged into corresponding notches on the floor.
