This case, box or casket (1) is provided with a detachable covering (2). The case is formed from two parts which fit, one into the other. The edges of each of these two parts have a protruding rim (4). A groove (6) is formed in this rim. The edge (5) of the lateral wall of the covering penetrates into this groove. The burrs and imperfections of the edge (5) are thus hidden from view. The material from which the covering is made is a flocked polystyrol. This material has velvety appearance similar to that of suede. <IMAGE>
