The front-mounted safety element for glazed apertures, such as wall, door and window apertures or the like, consists of a sectional frame, in the free face of which a pane, carried by this and fixed to it, is arranged. The sectional frame is equipped with an externally continuous inwardly open box-section part (2) and with an inwardly directed bearing-section part (3). The safety-glass surface (5) is arranged with its edges (4) on this. Access holes (7) are provided in circumferential edge regions (6) of the safety-glass surface which extend over the bearing-profile part. These holes are assigned, in or on the frame, holding elements (8), such as holes, lead-through screws, pegs or the like. <IMAGE>
