The present invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of print and dye preparations for developing dyes based on 5-iminopyrrolenines (as component A) and aminoheterocycles of the formula <IMAGE> in which R and X have the meaning given in the application text, and/or C-H acidic compounds (as component B) by mixing the components A and B with the addition of customary auxiliaries. The novel process is characterised in that the component B is predissolved at elevated temperature (preferably at 60 to 95 DEG C) and, after cooling, added to the component A.
