PURPOSE:To contrive a lower manufacturing cost while maintaining required functions, by feeding a head and turning up the head by a single motor. CONSTITUTION:When feeding a thermal head 18, a shaft 2 of a motor 1 is rotated clockwise, whereby a head-feeding screw 4 is rotated counterclockwise. A head-feeding pin 20 connected integrally to the thermal head 18 is engaged in a spiral groove 4a of the screw 4, and the head 18 is fed in a printing direction by the counterclockwise rotation of the screw 3. When turning up the head 18, the shaft 2 of the motor 1 is rotated counterclockwise, whereby a head-detaching motor gear 6 is also rotated counterclockwise, and a friction wheel 10 and a lever-driving wheel 11 are rotated counterclockwise through a reduction gear 7. With a head-detaching driving lever 13 turned by the wheel 11, a head-detaching lever 14 is turned, and a thermal head holder 15 engaged to the lever 14 is also turned, whereby the head 18 fixed to the holder 15 is separated from a platen 17. |
