发明名称 THIN FILM TYPE NON-LINEAR OPTICAL MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the title material having large non-linear susceptibility by highly orientating an unit which has a large molecular susceptibility together with a molecular orientation of a main chain type LCP. CONSTITUTION:The unit in which the 2nd molecular susceptibility having the same orientation direction of the molecular chain to that of a thermotropic liquid crystal high molecule is >1X10<-30>esu is incorporated in the high molecular thin film substrate composed of the main chain type thermotropic liquid crystal orientated highly the molecular chain thereof. In the title material, for example, the main chain type thermotropic liquid crystal high polymer (the main chain type LCP) is used. The title material is produced by orientating the non-linear unit contg. in the main chain type LCP together with the molecular orientation of the main chain type LCP by utilizing a high molecular orientation which generates in the process of forming a molten liquid crystal of the main type LCP to the film thereof. Thus, the title material having the larger non-linear susceptibility than that of an usual on-linear optics material is obtd.
