PURPOSE:To keep safety for an operator by a method in which a stopper is provided detachably on the tip of a movable edge and chips are caused to fly out in the opposite direction to the operator from the material under cutting. CONSTITUTION:A motor box 2 is gripped and a metal sheet is introduced from a sheet-inserting port 24, and a motor is activated. When a main body 1 is driven forward in the direction P, a metal sheet is caused to be in contact with a stopper 34 and the length to be inserted is controlled. The metal sheet is successively punched and cut into the shape of semicircular arc by a punch edge 33 cooperating with a stationary edge 25. The cut and separated metal sheet is moved backward from the opposite side 24a with width narrower than the edge diameter. The chips generated in that process are caused to fly out and to remove from an exhaust port 22. |
