PURPOSE:To inhibit the driving of a fixing roll and to secure the safety of an operator by providing a cover-attaching part with conductive rubber and detecting whether a cover is attached or not through the rubber according to whether grounding is performed or not, and thus detecting a cover attachment/detachment state securely at low cost. CONSTITUTION:The cover attaching member 1 is fitted with the conductive rubber 3 through an insulating material 4; and it is connected to the emitter of a transistor (TR) Q1 through a lead wire 7 and an element SSR 8 for driving the fixing roll is connected to the collector side. Once the cover 5 is attached to a main body 2 with a screw 6, the emitter of the TR is grounded through the lead wire 7, rubber 3, cover 5, and attaching member 1 to drive the SSR 8. When the cover 5 is detached to the contrary, the grounding is not performed and the SSR 8 is not driven. Thus, whether the cover 5 is attached or not is detected securely at low cost and the fixing roll is inhibited from being driven to secure the safety of the operator. |
