PURPOSE:To display various state variables stepwise economically through extremely compact constitution by displaying the various state variables of a copying machine stepwise each on one multicolor LED. CONSTITUTION:A feed paper cassette 1 is provided with a detector 2 for the presence of forms and a detector 3 for the remaining quantity of forms; and a toner bolt 5 is provided with a detector 6 for the remaining amount of toner and a photoreceptor belt 8 is provided with a potential sensor 10 which detects the deterioration state of toner. The outputs of those detectors are inputted to a control circuit having two MPUs and converted into digital values, which are read by the MPUs; and the control circuit drives respective LEDs provided under the display window of a console panel. With regard to, for example, the fatigue degree of the photoreceptor belt 8, the corresponding LED turns green to show that the belt is still usable, yellow to show that its replacement approaches, or red for warning of replacement, and others perform similar display. Thus, state variables such as the quantity of forms and the amount of toner are displayed stepwise economically through the compact constitution. |
