<p>NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formulaI(R1 is H or OH; R2 is H or lower alkyl; n is 2-4). USE:A drug having physiological activities like vitamin D. Also usable as a hapten for preparing an antibody required to measure vitamin D3 in the blood, particularly vitamin D3 (e.g., 1alpha,25-hydroxy-vitamin D3) having OH in the 1alpha-position using an antibody reaction. PROCESS:A compound shown by the formula II (R'' is OH-protecting group; R''' is H or protected OH) as a starting substance is reacted with a compound shown by the formula X(CH2)nCOOR' (R' is H or lower alkyl; X is halogen) according to the reaction formula, to give a compound shown by the formula III, which is optionally subjected to removal of the protecting group, thermal decomposition, etc., to give a compound shown by the formulaI.</p> |
