PURPOSE:To obtain a digital data transmitting system which can transmit many signals with less number of signal cables and optical fiber links, is easy to extend and is hardly affected by noise, by transmitting digital data of many channels in time division. CONSTITUTION:In the transmission side, an operating section 48 starts a transmission data processing section 4 and transmits data continuously. In this state, the channel information designating a channel to be selected, e.g., No.0 is transmitted from a channel information forming section 47 to channel selectors 40a, 40b. In an example of the execution of this invention, since the data for two- channel's share are transmitted at the same time, No.64 is designated to the channel selector 40b corresponding to No.0. The digital data and channel information selected with the channel selectors 40a, 40b are read in a frame setting section 42 via a gate circuit 41. A frame setting section 42 sets one frame by arranging data for two channels' share to the high-order 2 bits and the channel information for it to the low-order 6 bits. |
