PURPOSE:To obtain the composite picture of an original image and information images easily and accurately by placing an original on a platen on the basis of its scan ending side and thus completing optical image irradiation at a constant point of time, and setting the irradiation starting points of the optical image and information image on the basis of said irradiation ending point. CONSTITUTION:When a picture is composed of the original image L0, and information images L1 and L2, a scan on the original is made as shown by an arrow, but the right end (c) of the original is set at the rear end of the platen in the scanning direction and its front end (b) is read on a scale 1a to set timing. The starting points of time of the original image and information images are determined on he basis of the ending time TE of the original image. In copying operation, a scan on the platen is started at TS, and information images L1, original image, and information image L2 are projected in areas l1, l0, and l2 respectively; and the formation of the composite picture is ended at the time T0. Consequently, the composite picture of the original image and information images is obtained with desired accuracy through the simple operation. |
