PURPOSE:To rapidly evaporate fuel particles in order to enhance the ignition capability of alcoholic fuel or the like, by mixing air and fuel in a pre-mixing chamber and by subjecting the thus obtained mixture, in a pressure boosting chamber, to the cycles of suction, compression and discharge repeatedly, so that the atmosphere of high temperature and high pressure is created in an accumulating chamber. CONSTITUTION:Particles of initial fuel F are injected into a pre-mixing chamber 1 from a injection valve 2 simultaneously with the feed of air A into the pre-mixing chamber 1 from a flow-in-pipe 3, so that they are mixed, and as well, the fuel F pooled in a fuel sump 1a is heated and evaporated by the heat of exhaust gas from an engine E. Then, the thus obtained mixture is sucked into pressure boosting chambers 12, 12' from a flow-out-pipe 4, and is compressed by a plunger 17. That is, working oil 19 in a tank 18 is compressed by a pump 19 and is applied to both surfaces of a piston 17a, alternately, in a piston 11a through a selector valve 23 so that the plunger 17 is reciprocated. The mixture is discharged into an accumulating chamber 13 through check valves 14 during the advancing stroke Y of the plunger 17, and the particles of the initial fuel are rapidly evaporated in the chamber 13 under high temperature and high pressure so that they are finely atomized. |
