PURPOSE:To obtain the sufficient amount of impregnation with uniform distribution without scratching the surface of a plate by treating a substrate with dilute acid after converting the initial impregnated salt into an active material, and removeing the raw salt solution by washing after immersing in the raw salt solution, then converting the raw salt into active material from the second impregnating process. CONSTITUTION:A sintered nickel porous substrate is immersed in a cadmium nitrate solution, then treated with alkaline solution to convert the cadmium nitrate into active material, and washed by water. The substrate is immersed in nitric acid solution to remove the active material attached on the surface. From the second impregnation process, the plate is immersed in cadmium nitrate solution, taken out, washed in running water, then treated with alkaline solution, washed by water, and dried, and then this process is repeated. |
