PURPOSE:To surely close a bottom opening of a cylindrical separator and decrease a pouring amount of a molten mass by applying a pressure extending process for closing the bottom opening of the separator while a poured molten mass keeps fluidity. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical separator 3 is inserted into a central hollow portion 4a of a cathode mix 4. An electric insulating molten mass 6 is poured into a central inner bottom 1a of a cathode can 1 from the inside of the separator 3. While the molten mass 6 keeps fluidity, this mass is extended to the central inner bottom 1a of the cathode can 1 with pressure to close a bottom opening 3a of the separator 3. By applying this pressure extending process, a thin layer 7a is formed. Therefore, since the filling volume of an anode mass is increased, discharge capacity is increased. |
