摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the contact between butt end faces and to decrease the places where welding is defective by specifing the shape of the shearing face at the end face of a material for thin walled welded pipes of copper and the angle between the plane of the material and the shearing face, and limiting shear droops and burrs on the same side. CONSTITUTION:With a material of <=0.3mm. thickness for thin-walled high frequency induction welded pipes or high frequency resistance welded pipes of copper or copper alloys, the shearing face 2 of the butt end faces of the materials is formed to >=70% of the thickness and the height of burrs 1 is limited to >=10% of the thickness. The burrs 1 are formed on the same side with the centerline 3 of the thickness as a boundary. Further, the angle that the face 2 and the plane of the material assume is formed to >=75 deg.. Thus, the nonuniform contact at the butt end faces of the material is eliminated and weldability is improved.
