<p>PURPOSE:To prevent errors of correspondence of strokes, by sorting the strokes of each direction of a character pattern in order of further centers or centroides of strokes away from the center of centroid of the character pattern. CONSTITUTION:For the strokes of a direction D1, the differences between the (y) coordinate value of the center (or centroid) of the stroke and that of the center (or centroid) of a character pattern are divided into the plus and minus sides. Then the serial numbers are added to these differences in order of larger values of both plus and minus sides. Thus numbers 1, 2 and 3 are given to strokes 21, 23 and 22 respectively. At the same time, numbers 1, 2 and 3 are put to strokes 31, 33 and 32 respectively for a character pattern (c) registered in a dictionary. As a result, the correct correspondence is automatically secured between strokes 21 and 31, 23 and 33, and 22 and 32 respectively.</p> |
