PURPOSE:To position automatically an original while seeing the character on the original, by fixing the original to a perforated plate by a vacuum pressure, and moving it to a position shown by a virtual figure in chain lines. CONSTITUTION:An original setter 3 is put on an original surface 4 of a copying machine body 1 as shown by a virtual figure in chain lines. A perforated plate 11 having many attracting holes 10 is provided on the surface of an aperture part 6a of a hollow body 6, and the original is attracted by air sucked from a vacuum pump 8 through a suction pipe 9. An L-shaped standard scale 12 provided along sides of the perforated plate 11 is fixed to the surface of the perforated plate 11, and the graduation of this standard scale 12 is used as the reference to set the original on the perforated plate 11. Thus, since the original is set in accordance with the standard scale while seeing the character surface of the original, a partial copy and correcting copy for deflected arrangement are performed without failure. |
