PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency of an entire rotary electric machine by connecting a vent duct piece in response to the ventilation resistance of an air hole. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of air holes 12-14 which are reduced in number from the end side to the center of a rotor core 3 are formed at each core block 3A. Connecting members 9-11 which connect the air holes disposed at the opposite position between the core blocks are provided, and ventilation duct pieces 6-8 which radially exhaust cooling air fed between the blocks directly or through the members 9-11 from the holes 12-14 are formed. In this manner, the cooling air can be dispersed in the rotor core substantially uniformly, and the size and weight of a rotary electric machine can be reduced. |
