PURPOSE:To reduce a pressing force per unit area, and to make a total pulling force extremely larger, by attaching elastic clamping belts to the clamping surfaces of a set of looped chains, and providing pressure-resisting rollers to the backs of the chains and further, pressure- resisting members to the backs of said rollers. CONSTITUTION:A chain 8 is attached to guide wheels 5-7 supported by axes attached to the lower part of a machine frame 1, and a clamping belt 10 made of synthetic rubber is attached to the outside of the chain 8 as an elastic clamping belt. A special steel plate 12 is fixed to the inside of a horizontally stretched part of the chain 8 as a pressure-resisting member by adjusting the upper surface of the plate 12 to be horizontal one, and pressure-resisting rollers 14 are arranged, parallelly and rotatably in the horizontal or vertical direction, arround the outside (upper and lower, left and right side walls) of the plate 12. Both ends of respective rollers 14 are restrictedly held, except in the rolling direction, by the grooves of a guide plate. The same construction, supported by axes attached to a vertically movable plate 18 locating at the upper part of the frame 1, is combined with the lower construction into a pair, and the plate 18 is lowered with the aid of hydraulic cylinders 36 and 36a by driving the wheels 7 and 24. Thus, for instance, a rod material to be processed by a die is pulled out in the 45 direction without causing cut and damage of the material by press-clamping it with the aids of the belts 10 and 28. |
