PURPOSE:To use the connection of a large-sized printer for the monitor of a circuit, by sharing a connecting signal line between a terminal main body and an MODEM network controlling unit NCU and therefore realizing the saving of lines and the miniaturization of the terminal. CONSTITUTION:A bar code reader 4 and a microprinter 3 are connected to a terminal main body 2 containing a keyboard 8 for input of information and a display part 7. Thus a miniature terminal device 1 is obtained. This terminal device is connected to a center 7 with a circuit and via an MODEM NCU5. It is possible to connect a large-sized printer 6 to the MODEM NCU5. A loop between the main body 2 and a center S, a loop between the center S and the printer 6 and a loop between the main body 2 and the printer 6 are selected by the input information given from the keyboard 8. Thus the signal line between the device 1 and the NCU5 is shared to save the signal lines for connection of the printer 6. This process enables the use of the printer 6 to a monitor while the miniaturization is maintained for the device 1. |
