PURPOSE:To provide a heat-sensitive recording medium which is excellent in a preserving property, prevents the occurrence of blur of a developing picture and adhesion of refuse, and is suitable for a high speed recording as well, by preparing the medium such that a heat-sensitive coloring material containing a fluoran compound, a benzamido compound, and a color developing material is formed on a support. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive recording medium is prepared by forming on a support a heat-sensitive coloring layer containing (A) a fluoran compound of a formulaI, where R1 and R2 are C1-8 alkyl, as a developing material, (B) an acid material, such as preferably benzoic acid, salicyclic acid, 3,5-exylenol, thymole, as a color-developing material, and (C) a benzamido compound of a formula II, where R3 is C1-30 alkyl; A is H or -COOR4; R4 is C1-10 alkyl. It is advisable that N-stearylbenzamido is used as the component (C), and 1-10pts., based on 1pt. the component A, of the component (C) is used. EFFECT:Preserving property or the like is improved by copying the component (C) with the component (A). |
