PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from sagging and to eliminate unnatural concatenation of signals by reversing a motor for a specific short time through a timer then stopping the motor, and braking a take-up reel turntable when stopping the running tape temporarily. CONSTITUTION:The motor 14 drives a capstan spindle 10 and a gear 12 forward and backward. The rotation of the gear 12 (in a take-up state in a figure) is transmitted to a gear 32 through a gear 22 and a belt 30 having teeth internally. The gear 32 rotates an arm 34 in the same direction with the gear 32 through a hysteresis material and an annular magnet which are not shown in the figure to transmit the rotation to a limiter gear 38 through an idler 36, thereby rotating a reel turntable 42 through a reel idler 40. In temporary stop mode, the motor 14 is reversed for the specific time through the unshown timer and the idler 36 reverses a reel turntable 42' through a limiter gear 38' to wind the tape 16; and then the motor 14 stops and a brake 26 operates. Consequently, the damaging of the tape due to sagging is prevented and unnatural concatenation of signals is eliminated. |
