PURPOSE:To simplify a measuring operation and to make it handy to carry, by a method wherein a luminous element and a collecting element are positioned facing and opposite to each other with a retainer, being capable of holding reference liquid and liquid to be measured, so that light is received by the collecting element after it permeates the reference liquid. CONSTITUTION:A measuring device is constituted such that a luminous element 1 and a collecting element 2 are positioned facing and opposite to each other with a retainer 3, being capable of holding reference liquid, between so that light from the luminous element 1 can be received by the collecting element 2 after it permeats the reference liquid or liquid to be measured being held by the collecting element 2. This constitution eliminates the need to mount the two elements 1 and 2 and the retainer 3 in a troublesome darkroom structure and permits simplification of a constitution, which results in simplifying a measuring operation and making a device handy to carry. |
