Class 94(1) [Also in Groups V, VI and VIII] A sterilely enclosed pipette, particularly for veterinary purposes, is formed by cutting a polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene tube 2 having a polyvinyl chloride covering 6 into lengths, the covering being stretched before each cut to provide a length of covering beyond each tube. The covering is then rolled back and the end of the tube moulded to the desired shape (see Group V). The ends 19 of the covering are then heat sealed by transversely corrugated jaws 14. One half 16 of the jaws is parallel and the other half 17 inclined. The jaws may have a coating 15 of " Fluon " (Registered Trade Mark). In a modification, several pipettes may be enclosed in one covering. |
