PURPOSE:To correctly move and to adjust a sensor to a proposed position, by detecting the present address of the sensor which moves by reading at least two address patterns from the address patterns and moving the sensor to a proposed position after comparing the detected present address with the proposed position. CONSTITUTION:A counted value inputted into a comparator 25 from a counter 24 is compared with a proposed address of a video disk stored in a memory 27. During the course of the comparison, a drive controlling circuit 28 makes to flow an electric current which rotates a carrying section, until they coincide with each other and supplies a high- or low-level signal generated in accordance with the rotating direction to the counter 24 and a memory 26. Upon receiving the signal, the counter 24 decreases or increases an already inputted counted value according to the signal and the memory 26 reads out the contents stored in a designated address and supplies the contents to a comparator 29. The comparator 29 compares the contents with the 1st and the 2nd address pattern signals read out by photosensors 22 and 23, and, when they coincide with each other, the comparator generates a high-level signal and sends the high-level signal to the counter 24. |
