In a container end assembly comprising a container end having a through opening 16, a tape 24 adhered to the exterior surface of the container circumjacent and completely covering the opening, the end of the tape adjacent one side of the opening being unadhered and having a tab adapted for manual engagement, said tape being peelable from over the opening, said container end is of a flexible sheet material which take a permanent set when substantially folded, and includes a tongue-like portion 18 projecting into the opening, the tongue-like portion being attached to the tape, being bendable back with the tape and taking a permanent set during peeling of the tape from over the opening to hold the peeled tape closely adjacent the container end. <IMAGE> |
