A transport device using a number of rollers intended for use in the transportation of stiff material (2), where a first group of rollers (3d) used in transporting the material is oriented to combine with the one part of the material's edge section (2a), whilst another group of rollers (4d) used in transporting the material is oriented to combine with the material's other, and opposite, edge section (2b). The material's stiffness is preferably so designed that the material (2) can be transported with supports only being necessary at the edge sections. Each roller (3d) is arranged so that its axis of rotation (3d') shows a straight, or largely straight angle in relation to the material's (2) allotted plane (2c), and the respective rollers (3d) also display a slanted surface (17) which serves as a support surface for one (2a) and/or other of the material's (2) incoming edge sections (2a').<IMAGE> |
