<p>PURPOSE:To enable the smooth attachment and detachment of a cassette by samll force in a paper feeder in which the swingable bottom plate of the cassette is pushed upwards by a pressure means when the cassette is set in the paper feeder, by operating the pressure means by two stages at the time of the attachment and detachment of the cassette. CONSTITUTION:To set a cassette 3 in a paper feed position on a rest plate 1, the first disengaging protrusion 3d of the cassette first pushes and turns the disengaging part 9h of a first stopper 9 to rotate a rotary shaft 9a to disengage a pressure plate 6. The pressure plate 6 is then stopped by the engagement of the halting claw 10 of a second stopper 10 with a halting shaft 10b. When the cassette 3 is thereafter moved forth and nearly placed in the paper feed position, the second disengaging protrusion 3e of the cassette pushes and turns the disengaging part 10d of the second stopper 10 to turn the pressure plate 6 upwards by a spring 8 so that paper P on a swingable bottom plate 4 is brought into pressure contact with a paper feed roller 2.</p> |
